San Francisco!

I did it - my first big trip! Daddy had to go away for work again so Mommy and I went to San Francisco. Airplane travel is neat and I behaved like a perfect little angel (that's what Mommy said, honest! I know she's not really objective but some other people on the plane gave me compliments too.). The flight was pretty short; we got from Tucson to Oakland in less than two hours. I was pretty excited to meet some more of my family - Auntie Ginny, Uncle Chris, and my cousin Jack.

My uncle Chris was especially fun to look at - with his bald head, glasses, and facial hair, he kind of reminded me of Daddy.
Jack and I were instant pals and he liked to refer to me as "I baby," or maybe he was saying "hi, baby." Not really sure, as I'm not entirely versed in toddler talk yet - I've still got some time before that happens. Either way, I think that was his way of saying he likes me.

During this trip, I also got my first experience of crunchy Autumn leaves, chilly morning air, and even a kiss from a boy (even though he is my cousin!).

Auntie Ginny wanted Mommy to take this picture, after referring to me as "squishy." Um? Should I be concerned?

After five days, it was time to head back to the airport for my second plane ride. I don't think Mommy was ready to go home because she was acting very silly and snapping lots of close-up pictures of her and Jack.
While Mommy and Jack played, I slept. It was morning and I was tired from all of the fun.
All in all, I'd say it was a good first vacation.

The "squishy" photo is priceless.

I miss my little Squishy!
And Jack misses his baby (which is what I think he meant by "I Baby," he was trying to say "My Baby").
I will just teach him to say Squishy :)
