First, Mommy and Daddy bought this cool set of wheels for me. Lots of people gave us cash gifts to use as we please and so I had my first lesson in saving for something good. And it is a good one - it's fast and smooth when Mommy runs with me, it's able to put me to sleep in record time, and it's even a hott shade of red - whoohoo! Of course a big "Thank you" goes to my Great-Grandpa; Gran; Great-Great-Auntie Ronnie & Great-Great-Uncle John (yep, that's two "greats" - ain't I a lucky great-great-niece!?!?); and Mr Bill & Ms Shelly!!Next, I've managed a really fun, though slightly dangerous accomplishment... I've started that age-old custom of vertical living. That's right - I can stand now! Mommy and Daddy aren't crazy about what came along almost immediately though... I can also climb up stairs. The good news is that we only have three and I quickly learned to only go up; down is a much more advanced direction that I'm just not ready for yet. Maybe next week. For now, I am able to pull myself up to standing using pretty much anything I can reach. Couch, chairs, tables, my crib rails, whatever - it's all fair game. That also includes your pant leg if you just so happen to be standing nearby.
We've also been traveling again. We were in Chicago at the end of February and had a blast (more to come on that later).
More recently, Mommy took me on my first road trip.
I helped pack and then we drove to Southern California -

first San Diego, where we went to a huge zoo and I also met my cousin, Sophia; then to Irvine, where Mommy had some meetings for work and I spent the day with my cute babysitter, Ashley;
So, as you can see, I am truly an on-the-go baby! Eight months old and I have been to Southern California, Northern California, and twice to Chicago - that's six planes and one road trip of approximately 900 miles. Next up, Boston and Martha's Vineyard in September! (But who knows - I doubt I'll sit still until then. Heck, with legs like these, who needs to sit around!?!?)
